Never Ending
Well another month with getting stuff late again. This time both choppers down so it was groceries by ship with mail. The mail went as far back as Dec that tells you that we have not seen much of choppers.
But I am getting off again in a few days. Well I say off but who knows with this group. I have had the date changed once all ready. Boy let me tell you that trying to change a flight is not easy when it is only one of two airlines that to from Prince Rupert to Vancouver. Oh well finally done and one can only hope that there will be good weather and I will make it in time.
We had 7 lovely days lots of sun and warm. But now we are wet and windy but then as I have said that is winter up here.
The other day as we where walking to the chopper pad I noticed and white head of a bald eagle in a tree. Looking down at the sea lions diving for fish. He was just waiting to fly down and the fish right out the sea lions mouth. We have seen that a lot up here. Nice easy way for them to fish.
At the moment the wind is coming from the West and hitting the house right on. Such a lovely sound. It is great power and makes one feel like there is life out there such a lovely high. I have had kids say that drugs give a great high little do they know that living out here even with all the complaints and problems that the nature we see is the best high in the world. Sad that they can not see that life and the power of this world is a good thing and one that they should feel that they wish to be part of. And out here in this job we see that. Oh well that this is just my thoughts on the matter.
Well off to pack and hope that it will not be vain.. that I will get off on 20th of Feb. Feel free to ask questions if anyone is reading.. or forward to friends who like lighthouses.. I will try and be better about writing more from here at the Bluff
